Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years Industrial Engineering / Continuous Improvement experience.
• Proficient in time/delay studies and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Experience preparing cost-benefit analyses for projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets).
• Preferred: plant layout and facilities planning; mathematical programming / OR experience; knowledge of fastener manufacturing equipment; experience with suppliers; documentation and training material preparation; familiarity with Google for Work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time/delay studies on machines and operators.
• Perform quantitative analysis of manpower, equipment, downtime, material use, and OEE.
• Create and sustain Industrial Engineering programs: standardized work, labor studies, plant layouts, capacity analysis, quick die change, PDCA, 5S, and visual factory tools.
• Analyze downtime with plant team and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Verify machine capacity for customer requests in coordination with Sales.
• Support training of employees in new processes and Lean methods.
• Assist budgeting and develop plant operational metrics (OEE, MTTR-MTBF, setup hours, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Travel approximately 20% within Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee.
