Job summary

Emerson Japan, Ltd. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the local Operational Excellence team. You will drive Lean initiatives, 5S, and FLMC standards, coaching teams and delivering continuous improvement across the plant.

You will analyze performance data, conduct time studies, and support cross-functional projects to advance the OpEx roadmap while fostering a Lean culture and sustained savings.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, lean manufacturing, or CI environment.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and sustainment of 5S and FLMC standards across the plant.
• Train and coach employees on Lean concepts and CI methodologies.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and workflow optimization activities.
• Participate in and support SMED, Kaikaku, and other CI projects.
• Assist in implementing Lean tools like Value Stream Mapping, Yamazumi, Kanban, and Standard Work.
• Monitor and analyze operational data and communicate improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the site’s OpEx roadmap.
