Job summary

Emerson at its Mansfield, OH facility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence through Lean practices, process optimization, and project leadership. You will partner with operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and leadership to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Responsibilities include data-driven improvement, root cause analysis, tooling design in SolidWorks, and Power BI dashboard development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Experience applying lean principles and process improvement methods.
Ability to use tooling gauges for measurement and qualification.

Responsibilities

Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, A3, Fishbone, and 5 Whys methodologies.
Drive improvements in OEE, labor productivity, first-pass yield, and throughput.
Support cost reduction through productivity and waste elimination.
Design tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauging, and facilities equipment using SolidWorks.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, or fixturing issues with root-cause analysis.
Develop knowledge of facilities capabilities to ensure design suitability for tooling and gauging.
Build and analyze Power BI dashboards.
Collaborate across teams and develop appropriation requests with cost justifications.
Determine specifications and procure materials and components for design requirements.
