Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, a growing multi-unit restaurant and hospitality group, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting. You will operate as the sole accounting and finance professional while partnering with Operations, HR, Marketing, General Managers, and Chefs across locations.

The role offers a lean, high-visibility environment with a transition from the outgoing Controller, ensuring a smooth handoff.

Qualifications

• Multi-unit restaurant or hospitality accounting experience
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation and general ledger experience
• Ability to work independently in a lean, department-of-one environment
• Experience supporting multiple restaurant concepts or locations

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting
• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee daily sales reporting and revenue tracking across multiple locations
• Manage inventory accounting and reporting
• Oversee AP and payroll reporting
• Maintain the general ledger and review intercompany activity
• Support external audits and other accounting-related requests
• Provide store-level and consolidated financial reporting
• Partner with Operations leadership to improve financial visibility and business performance
