Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Brentwood, TN is seeking an Accounting Manager to work closely with the Controller and contribute to the growth and development of the accounting function.

The role is hands-on, with significant involvement in the month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls, and will identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and implement more automated tools and workflows as the organization grows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Hands-on month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Public accounting experience with a Big 4, national, or strong regional firm preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience improving accounting processes, controls, systems, or workflows is a plus.
• Curious, investigative, and comfortable working through ambiguity.
• Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and help build the processes around them.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
