Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lean Coordinator to drive continuous improvement at our Elkhart, IN facility. You will plan and lead Kaizen events, mentor teams, and partner with Engineering to optimize processes and capacity.

This role emphasizes data-driven decisions and hands-on Lean training across operations and management. The ideal candidate has Lean experience (5+ years preferred), strong communication, and the ability to travel domestically up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in relevant field or Associate with 3+ years experience or 5+ years lean experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles and methodology.
• Ability to motivate, develop and direct people without formal authority.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, planning skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coach Lean events and coordinate Lean activities.
• Support Lean-related metrics and develop visual boards and data updates.
• Lead Kaizen and 5S activities to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Partner with Engineering to understand processes, machine requirements and capacity.
• Provide Lean training to stakeholders in operations and management.
• Report progress to Leadership with data-driven updates.
