Job summary

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. in Anderson, SC, seeks an Industrial Engineer- Distribution to design, test, and implement process and software improvements for the distribution floor, focusing on personnel and equipment utilization, flow optimization, and cost reduction.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve efficiencies, lead Kaizen/Lean events, develop standards, and support new process implementations.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in engineering, operations, or related field.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve facility efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Develop processes, procedures and testing for improvement solutions; maintain documentation.
• Provide production support for new process implementations.
• Conduct time studies to eliminate wastes and balance lines/work cells.
• Chair Lean/Continuous Improvement events with logistics group.
• Develop operation measurement standards and drive costing initiatives in logistics.
• Manage network SKU slotting and materials handling utilization; justify improvements.
• Generate weekly efficiency reports and other distribution reports as needed.
• Evaluate new layouts/work cells and standardize distribution network.
