Job summary

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. in Anderson, SC is seeking an Industrial Engineer - Distribution to design, test, and implement process and software improvements on the distribution floor. You will focus on personnel and equipment utilization to optimize flow of people, process, and material within the facility.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in engineering, operations, or related field; with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and systems including warehouse management systems and warehouse control systems
• Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex process issues

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve facility efficiency and reduce costs
• Develop processes, procedures and testing of improvement solutions; maintain documentation
• Provide production support for new process implementations
• Conduct time studies and balance lines/work cells to maximize productivity
• Lead Kaizen/Lean/Continuous Improvement events within logistics
• Drive activity-based costing initiatives in the logistics group
• Manage slotting and material handling utilization; justify improvements
• Generate weekly efficiency and productivity reports
• Evaluate new layouts/work cells and raise best practices
• Train operators and super-users; develop production standards and best practices
• Assess cost implications of projects across inventory, labor, service, and capital
• Prepare RFQs/RFPs for logistics projects and evaluate bids
