Job summary

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment is seeking an Industrial Engineer - Distribution in Anderson, SC to design and implement process improvements on the distribution floor. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve flows, reduce bottlenecks and increase productivity.

The role requires a 4-year degree in engineering or related field and 1–2 years of experience; Lean training and experience with warehouse systems are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering, operations, or related field.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and systems including warehouse management systems and warehouse control systems.
• Lean training and application of Lean management within a distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and implement process and software improvement solutions for the distribution floor.
• Conduct time studies and task reviews to eliminate wastes and reduce bottlenecks and balance lines/work cells.
• Develop operations measurement standards and drive costing initiatives within logistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve efficiencies at lowest cost.
• Prepare RFQ/RFP documents and coordinate with vendors on project requirements.
