Job summary

Bren-Tronics is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive lean initiatives across assembly, test, and electro‑mechanical production, improving efficiency, quality, safety and throughput.

This role focuses on hands‑on process improvements to maintain AS9100, ISO9001, and ITAR compliance while partnering with Quality, Engineering and Production teams to implement durable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field.
• 7+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in defense, aerospace, or battery manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
• Experience working directly on the production floor (Gemba mindset).
• Ability to work in a project environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on production floor performance.
• Identify and eliminate waste using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Standard Work, SMED).
• Analyze manufacturing processes including battery assembly, testing, and packaging to improve cycle time and throughput.
• Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive improvements in yield, scrap reduction, and rework minimization.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain visual management systems and KPIs.
• Lead Kaizen events and shop floor workshops.
• Support MES/ERP data analysis for performance tracking.
• Ensure compliance with defense and quality standards (AS9100, ISO9001, ITAR).
• Train operators and supervisors on continuous improvement methodologies.
