Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the New Hangar project near Richmond Airport. You will assist in contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, budgets, and scheduling to ensure quality, profitability, and safety.

The role requires hands-on coordination with project teams and subcontractors. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree with 4–6 years of experience and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and computer skills,

Qualifications

• BS preferred with 4–6 years of experience on construction projects.
• Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft office products.
• Experience with scheduling software (P6) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in administrative and technical project tasks.
• Support contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and budgets.
• Help manage schedules, costs, and safety/compliance programs.
• Attend planning, progress, and close-out meetings with project team.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to meet deadlines.
