Balfour Beatty US in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in managing administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. You will assist with contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure quality and profitability while upholding our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience preferred.
• Solid presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with resource planning for each project.
• Collaborate on scheduling and responsibilities matrix.
• Help create and manage project budgets.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and subcontract scopes.
• Ensure compliance with owner contracts, bonds, fees, and schedules.
• Attend planning, progress, and close-out meetings.
• Monitor progress, cost vs schedule, and quality per contract.
• Support project closeout and transition to the customer.
