Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager by handling administrative and technical requirements on construction projects across our portfolio. You will help coordinate submittals, procurement, and scheduling to ensure safety, quality, and profitability.

This role emphasizes collaboration with field teams and office staff, attention to cost control, and timely communications with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 4 years of construction office or field experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager.
• 1 year direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with project management software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects.
• Assist in all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials setup and updates, and schedule.
• Maintain focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager in all aspects of assigned projects.

Summary
