Job summary

Belimo is seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician 1 in Danbury, CT, to design and optimize production work cells using LEAN principles. The role reports to the Continuous Improvement Team Lead and drives improvements in safety, ergonomics, and efficiency while supporting multiple manufacturing departments.

The position requires an engineering-related degree or related experience, hands-on mechanical skills, and the ability to interpret technical information.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or High School diploma with 2+ years in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-conscious.
• Familiarity with LEAN and ergonomic concepts relevant to assembly processes.
• Ability to read basic technical information and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production work cells using LEAN concepts tailored to internal customers.
• Install new work cells/equipment and dismantle old ones as needed.
• Lead improvements projects with cross-functional teams across departments.
• Implement ideas that improve safety, quality, ergonomics, and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the continuous improvement workshop areas.
• Support Production/Maintenance/Continuous Improvement technicians as needed.
