Morgan Truck Body, part of the JB Poindexter family, is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer in Janesville, WI. You will champion Lean processes, lead Kaizen events, and drive measurable savings across plants, partnering with leadership to deliver sustained operational excellence.

The role emphasizes training, standardization, and cross-functional collaboration, with travel up to 10% and a focus on data-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing Lean experience.
• 3+ years driving continuous improvement with savings ROI analysis.
• Formal Lean training (5S, PDCA, A3, value stream mapping).
• Strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Experience supporting supply chain/SIOP initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Document current-state processes and identify Lean improvements.
• Develop and implement SOPs, Standard Work, and 5S.
• Lead Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Design KPIs, Kaizen tracking, and cost savings analyses.
• Provide Lean training and enablement to teams.
• Lead Kaizen events and validate financial impact.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across plants and with partners.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve Kaizen objectives.
• Mentor teams in Lean tools and problem-solving methods.
• Prepare weekly progress reports on initiatives.
• Manage Kaizen funnel and JDI prioritization.
• Support additional operational initiatives as needed.
