Job summary

Buyers Products Company in Mentor, OH is seeking an Assembly Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations with a metrics-driven approach. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements while mentoring leads and developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities include managing inventory and budget, enforcing policies, and partnering with Engineering & Quality to improve processes and systems. A strong Lean background is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operations leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in kitting/assembly.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills.
• Lean management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke).
• Ability to gather and employ data to meet organizational goals in a metric-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a business partner demonstrating metrics-based leadership in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Create a positive culture focused on metrics and performance.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence across the department.
• Own inventory, supplies, and budget for the department.
• Mentor Leads and develop Leads; manage performance.
• Enforce and implement policies with buy-in from staff.
• Partner with Engineering & Quality for product and policy needs.
• Support improvements to systems, processes, and products; oversee preventive maintenance.
• Cross-train staff and develop strong team leads.
• Utilize LEAN tools; focus on 6S and TOCs for daily improvement.
