Job summary

Santa Barbara Honda is seeking a manufacturing process engineer to develop efficient assembly work instructions for Honda power sports equipment. You will use MOST and lean methods to optimize production, read parts drawings, and forecast design change impact while ensuring safety and ergonomic countermeasures.

You will support New Model events, design countermeasures, and train trainers to implement process changes across departments, with flexible hours and potential travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of PDDA and MOST parts numbers, BOMs, applications.

Responsibilities

• Use MOST to develop balanced processes across manufacturing area.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
• Design processes that are simple and meet SQCDM targets.
• Audit existing processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity.
