Job summary

RECONN is seeking Leak Survey Technicians to survey gas lines and ensure pipeline integrity in Millville, NJ. This daytime, full-time role may require overtime and weekends, with training provided.

You will use gas-detection equipment and may inspect inside services/meters. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required; strong communication and technology skills are a plus.

Leak Survey Technicians provide an important service to utilities and the public. Leak Survey Technicians use a variety of equipment to survey gas lines ensuring pipeline integrity. When a leak is detected, it is investigated, classified, and documented. This position may also require inspection of inside gas services/meters using similar gas detection equipment.

We are currently hiring throughout Millville, NJ.

The starting pay for this position is $20hr

These are daytime; full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor-led training will be provided. This position may require you to work on weekends.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bendand stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required
• Ability to use simple hand tools
• Ability to read utility maps
