Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team, where you’ll learn to run a successful location while delivering outstanding customer service and supporting daily operations.

This hands-on role offers structured training with real-world experience, preparing you for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. Wage is $17/hour plus incentives based on performance, with on-site responsibilities at 8021 W Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23294.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
