Job summary

Hertz Local Edition seeks a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months. The role blends sales, customer service, and operations in a fast-paced environment near Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service: Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management: Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle and Facility Care: Support team with cleaning vehicles, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration: Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development: Shadow and support management; build skills in scheduling and coaching; prepare for leadership roles; understand impact on company finances.
