Job summary

CarMax's Front-Line Manager in Training is a four-month structured program to prepare new managers for a Front-Line Manager role within Service Operations. Trainees gain hands-on experience across functional areas and learn store procedures, inventory flow, and performance standards.

Upon completion, graduates are placed into roles such as Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Flow Supply Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager, to lead teams and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team to achieve goals.
• Ability to read, interpret and transcribe data to maintain records.
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication with customers and associates.
• Proficiency with common and proprietary software.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work indoors/outdoors, in varying weather and noise.

• Support the execution of store procedures and processes.
• Successfully complete the Management Development Program.
