Job summary

Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a Leadership and Professional Development Specialist to design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate leadership programs for employees and leaders. This role blends corporate training with instructional design to ensure practical application in the workplace.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of facilitation experience, expertise in adult learning, and the ability to partner with leaders to identify learning needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in learning and development, instructional design, education, HR, OD, or related field, or equivalent experience
• At least five (5) years facilitating leadership, professional development, or related training in a corporate setting with adult learners
• At least two (2) years designing or developing instructor-led, virtual, or blended learning
• Experience partnering with leaders and SMEs to identify learning needs and develop solutions
• Familiarity with Crucial Learning courses and their application to workplace leadership and communication (preferred)
• Current Blanchard SLII certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate leadership and professional development courses for employees and leaders in-person, virtual and blended settings
• Design and develop instructor-led, virtual and self-paced learning materials, including guides, materials, presentations and assessments
• Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, practical learning experiences
• Partner with leaders and SMEs to identify learning needs and objectives and develop solutions
• Deliver established programs while adapting examples and facilitation techniques to the audience
• Lead discussions, practice activities, and feedback to support learning
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and use findings to improve programs
• Maintain and update content to reflect organizational priorities
• Stay current on leadership development and instructional design practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
