Job summary

Harvard University seeks an Assistant Director, Leadership Giving for the Harvard College Fund (HCF) on a frontline fundraising team. You will manage a 75+ prospect portfolio and advance multi-year gifts, including four-, five-, and six-figure commitments.

You will partner with AA&D colleagues, Gift Planning, volunteers, and academic leadership to meet revenue goals and upgrade donors, while supporting FAS priorities and Harvard University objectives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in development or related field.
• Travel expectations roughly 35% of working days in specified territory/region.
• Attend meetings and campus activities in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 75+ qualified leadership prospects.
• Develop and execute multi-step prospect strategies to secure four-, five-, and six-figure gifts.
• Identify and qualify new prospects for leadership, major, or principal gifts.
• Meet revenue goals and upgrade donors while maintaining an active regional presence.
• Incorporate gift planning with the Office of Gift Planning to leverage larger gifts.
• Provide feedback to refine case for current-use support.
• Mentor a Development Assistant and collaborate across AA&D and Harvard partners.
