Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Assistant Director for the Harvard College Fund to manage a portfolio of 75+ leadership prospects, qualify new donors, and secure multi-year commitments.

This frontline fundraising role reports to the Director of Development, Leadership Giving, and collaborates with AA&D teams, volunteers, and Gift Planning to encourage leadership support at $5,000 annually or $25,000+ multi-year pledges.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in development or related transferable experience.
• Travel ~35% of working days.
• Attend meetings and campus activities in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 75+ qualified leadership prospects and steward them.
• Develop and execute multi-step prospect strategies to secure four-, five-, and six-figure gifts.
• Identify and qualify new prospects and add them to the pipeline with proper referrals and reviews.
• Meet and exceed revenue goals through upgrading donors and securing leadership commitments.
