Job summary

Harvard College Fund, part of Harvard University, seeks an Assistant Director of Development, Leadership Giving. This frontline fundraising role manages 75+ leadership prospects and secures four-, five-, and six-figure commitments to support Harvard College Fund and FAS priorities.

Reporting to the Director of Development, Leadership Giving, the Assistant Director collaborates across AA&D, Gift Planning, and volunteers to cultivate leadership gifts of $5,000 annually or multi-year pledges of

Qualifications

• BA/BS required for the role.
• Minimum 4 years of development or related experience.
• Travel roughly 35% of working days in the specified territory/region.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 75+ qualified leadership prospects.
• Develop multi-step fundraising strategies leveraging programmatic and engagement opportunities.
• Identify and qualify new prospects for leadership, major, or principal gifts.
• Meet and exceed revenue goals with focus on upgrades and new commitments.
• Incorporate gift planning into donor conversations and structuring proposals.
