Job summary

CarMax is hiring for a Front-Line Manager in Training in Gastonia, NC. The six-week program prepares you for leadership within Service Operations, covering inventory, cosmetic/mechanical repair, and end-to-end production processes.

Upon completion, you advance into leadership roles such as Flow Mechanical Manager, Flow Cosmetic Manager, Flow Supply Manager, Inventory Manager, or Service Manager. The program emphasizes training, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to CarMax

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage teams to achieve operational goals.
• Strong data interpretation and record-keeping for process compliance.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with associates and customers.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid Driver’s License and comfort working indoors/outdoors, including weather conditions.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with possible travel.

• Prepare for transition into a leadership role, ensuring readiness to manage associates and drive performance.
• Responsible for EH&S program for the department and/or location, including inspections, waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
