Job summary

Eliassen Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Communications Specialist II to support leadership engagement and enterprise-wide events. You will help craft leadership materials, manage event logistics, and ensure consistent messaging while collaborating with the lead communications manager.

The role emphasizes writing and editing for executive audiences, calendar governance, and piloting AI-enabled tools to improve processes. Hybrid work is available with client-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in communications, events, project coordination, or corporate operations.
• Proven corporate content development with strong writing and editing for executive communications.
• Experience supporting meetings or large-scale events.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills managing timelines and deliverables.
• Willingness to learn Airtable and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Support development of leadership meeting and event materials: agendas, presentations, talking points, logistics notes.
• Coordinate ELT and DELC meetings and large enterprise events (Open Forums, James B. Duke Awards).
• Track timelines, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure leaders are prepared.
• Ensure strategy and key messages are reflected across materials and events.
• Support Corporate Communications alignment and awareness of initiatives and messaging priorities.
• Coordinate with event services, IT/AV, security, and partners for logistics and tech.
• Maintain planning tools and content repositories (e.g., Airtable).
• Assist with budget tracking, invoices, and expense reconciliation.
• Research and compile background materials for strategy and messaging development.
• Support testing and rollout of AI-enabled tools for content development or workflows.
• Provide on-site or virtual event support as needed.
