Job summary

Positive Alternatives, Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a Lead Staff (shift lead) to guide a care-team and maintain a safe, supervised living environment for adolescent residents. You will lead shift activities, monitor residents, and ensure programs run smoothly.

The role includes weekend/holiday hours on a rotating schedule; candidates should be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license, and have or pursue a human/social services background. Training, benefits, and retirement plan are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human/social services preferred but not required.
• Experience working with youth in a residential setting is preferred but not required.
• At least 21 years of age; hold a valid driver’s license; must be caring and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.
• Maintain a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents.
• Supervise youth and know their whereabouts at all times.
• Facilitate crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clients.
• Incorporate client treatment objectives into the individual care of residents.
• Transport and supervise clients at designated activities and appointments.
• Follow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.
• Accurately complete and review shift documentation.
• Train new hires following the defined training program.
