Job summary

Positive Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a Lead Staff to join our care-team and help maintain a safe, supervised living environment for adolescent residents. You will lead shift activities, ensure programming schedules are followed, and support treatment goals.

The role requires weekend and holiday hours on a rotating schedule, valid driver's license, and a caring, resilient approach. Prior youth-work is preferred but not required. Full benefits and training are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human/social services related field preferred but not required.
• Previous experience working with a youth population in a residential setting is preferred but not required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Must be caring and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled shift activities and ensure programming schedules are followed.
• Maintain a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our adolescent clients.
• Supervise youth and knowing their whereabouts at all times.
• Facilitate crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem solving with and for clients.
• Incorporate client treatment objectives into the individual care of residents.
• Transport and supervise clients at designated activities and appointments.
• Follow program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.
• Accurately complete and review shift documentation.
• Train new hires following the defined training program.
• Additional duties as assigned.
