Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Lead Instructor for its internship and apprenticeship program at Gaithersburg High School. You will design and deliver weekly WBL instruction in collaboration with MCPS and local businesses, coordinating with the central WBL team to expand opportunities for students.

You will monitor program implementation, promote work experiences, recruit students, and support career planning and development through the MCPS WBL platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• A minimum of three years teaching experience is required.
• Certificate/License: MSDE certification for secondary education; Work-Based Learning Coordinator Endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual school-based WBL Action Plan.
• Deliver weekly instructional programs and provide instructional support for WBL courses.
• Collaborate with MCPS WBL team, central office, business partners, administrators, teachers, parents, and students to deliver program activities.
• Promote work experience opportunities, recruit and prepare students.
• Monitor program implementation using the WBL platform and track school data.
