Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Career Preparation Specialist to support Work-Based Learning programs in partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools. You will build relationships with students, families, and school teams to deliver high-quality WBL experiences including apprenticeships and internships.

You will coordinate with Career Coaches to prepare students for resumes, interviews, and career fairs, and you will manage required forms and data reporting across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field.
• Two years of directly related experience with youth.
• Equivalency allowed if it directly relates to duties.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for students and school-based teams for Work-Based Learning programs.
• Vet and match students to WBL opportunities based on Career Exploration Portfolios.
• Oversee work-based learning opportunities across Apprenticeship and Internship courses.
• Coordinate resume and interview prep and career fair workshops with Career Coaches.
• Maintain student legal forms and documents in Google Drive and School links.
• Host student and parent engagement events around WBL awareness.
• Collect data and prepare reports for the Office of Secondary Success and Innovation.
