Job summary

City of Baltimore is seeking a Career Preparation Specialist to support Work Based Learning programs across schools. You will connect students with apprenticeship and internship opportunities, vet candidates, and oversee program logistics.

Responsibilities include resume/interview prep, coordinating events, and maintaining required documents in Google Drive. A Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ related experience are preferred, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field preferred.
• Two years of directly related experience with young people.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for students and school-based teams for WBL opportunities.
• Vet and match students to WBL opportunities based on Career Exploration Portfolio goals.
• Monitor work experiences for all students in WBL, Apprenticeship, and Internship courses.
• Prepare students for WBL events, including resume and interview prep.
• Maintain student forms and documents in Google Drive.
• Collaborate with Career Coaches and Work Based Learning Specialists under the Manager.
