Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five or more years of experience developing comprehensive, usable webpages.
• Proficiency with Wordpress and the ability to work with Wordpress themes and plugins.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of and experience with web accessibility standards.
• Experience with Google Analytics.
• Experience with search engine optimization best practices and tools.
• Experience working with project management tools to track and document project status and progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communicator and problem-solver across technical and non-technical teams.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a clear, respectful, and client-focused approach.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve both technical and user issues, understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for common operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary WordPress web developer for the McCombs School of Business. Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot McCombs websites.
• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, administration, and security of McCombs websites.
• Develop custom themes, content modules, and integrations for McCombs websites.
• Keep up with the latest in Developer Operations. Contribute to new practices and procedures for code release cycles, testing, and help develop more efficient team workflows and infrastructure.
• Align with The University of Texas at Austin and McCombs School of Business Technology Solutions teams on site governance and security.
• Monitor, repair, and maintain McCombs websites to ensure they meet federal and university accessibility and quality assurance standards.
• Set up and maintain analytics tools on sites, create reports and dashboards, and contribute to SEO and AI search optimization.
• Provide excellent customer support and collaborate with stakeholders; research and evaluate new technologies and practices to improve tools and processes.
