University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business seeks a Senior Web Developer to lead WordPress development, maintenance, and operations across multiple sites hosted in Pantheon. You will ensure accessibility, security, and analytics while collaborating with Marketing & Communications and Technology Solutions teams.

You will develop custom themes, modules, and integrations, stay current with DevOps practices, and guide others for efficient workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of experience developing comprehensive, usable webpages.
• Proficiency with Wordpress and the ability to work with Wordpress themes and plugins.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of and experience with web accessibility standards.
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience working with project management tools to track and document project status and progress.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve both technical and user issues, understanding of troubleshooting methodologies for common operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Experience working with the Divi WordPress Theme and Page Builder.
• Experience with digital governance in higher ed or other large institutions.
• Experience with AI search optimization best practices and implementation.
• Experience using web monitoring tools such as Acquia and Siteimprove.
• Experience working within or closely with a marketing, brand, and/or communications team.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary WordPress web developer for the McCombs School of Business. Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot McCombs websites.
• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, administration, and security of McCombs websites.
• Develop custom themes, content modules, and integrations for McCombs websites.
• Keep up with the latest in Developer Operations. Contribute to new practices and procedures for code release cycles, testing, and help develop more efficient team workflows and infrastructure.
• Align with UT Austin and McCombs Technology Solutions teams on site governance and security.
• Monitor, repair, and maintain McCombs websites to ensure accessibility and QA standards.
• Ensure sites are compatible with modern browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Ensure compliance with policies on website usage, security standards, and brand guidelines.
• Work with the team to QA sites in an iterative process, during staging and after deployment.
• Set up and maintain analytics tools on sites for benchmarking and assessment.
• Contribute to SEO and AI search optimization for McCombs sites.
• Provide excellent customer support and communication to stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with freelance web developers and designers.
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure brand and editorial standards are met across sites.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as a technical resource.
