Job summary

Onto Innovation seeks a seasoned PLM Administrator to own Windchill governance and act as the system of record for product lifecycle data, BOMs, and part libraries. You will lead data architecture, access controls, and cross-system synchronization to maintain a single source of truth globally.

You will drive end-to-end Windchill implementations, ECO/ECN processes, and reporting. Collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality is essential to ensure seamless NPI

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Configuration Management, PLM Administration, or Mechanical Design Support in a complex hardware environment.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in Windchill Administration, workflow management, and report generation.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD focusing on large assemblies.
• Solid understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and PLM data objects (Phantoms, Subassemblies).

Responsibilities

• Own PLM administration and system governance as the primary Windchill administrator for product lifecycle data and part libraries.
• Oversee data architecture, lifecycles, and user access control across PLM, ERP, and CAD systems.
• Lead end-to-end Windchill implementations and drive program governance and executive reporting.
• Manage ECO/ECN processes, promotion workflows, and develop custom reports to track release cycles.
• Review engineering drawings for clarity, GD&T, and dimensional compliance prior to release.
• Support NPI builds by ensuring BOM/drawing readiness across cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on Make/Buy triggers and PLM-to-ERP integration.
• Develop CAD/PLM best practices and deliver training across global teams.
• Create dashboards in Excel and Power BI to visualize configuration health and bottlenecks.
