Job summary

Onto Innovation in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Lead, Configuration & Release Engineer to own PLM governance and Windchill administration. You will manage part types, phantoms, subassemblies, and ensure data integrity across PLM, ERP, and CAD systems, guiding end-to-end Windchill implementations and program governance.

You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams, drive ECO/ECN processes, BOM readiness, and leverage Excel and Power BI to visualize

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Configuration Management, PLM Administration, or mechanical design support in a hardware environment.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency in PTC Windchill (Administration, workflow, reports).
• Strong CAD skills and GD&T understanding per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• PLM ownership and Windchill governance as system of record.
• Manage data architecture for part types, phantoms, and subassemblies.
• Synchronize PLM with ERP and CAD systems for a single source of truth.
• Lead Windchill implementations, ECO/ECN processes, and reporting.
• Collaborate across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
