Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead a high-volume steel fabrication operation in Fort Worth, TX. You will oversee welding personnel, production schedules, quality, safety, and workflow to ensure on-time delivery of projects to code and customer specifications.

The role requires hands-on leadership, planful execution of welding activities, and a strong grasp of SMAW/GMAW/FCAW/SAW processes, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement in a heavy fabrication

Qualifications

• 5+ years welding experience in steel fabrication, pressure vessel, or related environment.
• 3+ years supervisory or lead experience in welding/fabrication.
• Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW processes and related fit-up/joint prep.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding personnel to meet daily production goals.
• Plan welding activities based on schedules, capacity, and deliveries.
• Oversee fit-up, welding, inspection, and material flow for components.
• Ensure compliance with WPS, AWS D1.1, ASME VIII and customer specs.
• Monitor weld quality, address nonconformances, drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Fabrication, Maintenance, Engineering to improve throughput.
• Maintain safety culture including PPE, hot work, LOTO, cranes, rigging.
• Support welder qualifications, inspections, and required documentation.
• Drive 5S, housekeeping, and continuous improvement in welding.
