Job summary

D.C. Goodman & Sons in Huntingdon, PA is seeking a Welder to join our fabrication and welding team. You will perform structural and pipe welding in shop and field, read drawings, and ensure tight fit-ups.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6+ years welding experience.
• Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and MIG welding.
• Able to read structural drawings and lay out cuts.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and pipe welding using SMAW, TIG, and MIG as the job requires.
• Fabricate steel components in the shop, erect and weld structural steel on job sites, and help install.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings to lay out cuts, drill holes, and fit pieces precisely before welding.
• Help less experienced welders and apprentices with technique, safety, and drawing interpretation.
• Work as part of a team; maintain a safe work environment.
