Job summary

Rhoads Industries, located at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia, is seeking a Pipe Welder to join a fast-paced, growing team. The Welder will perform pipe welding, fit-up, and tests on complex piping systems to work packages and PI&Ds in accordance with ASME B31.1 and MIL TP278.

Candidates should have 5+ years of welding experience, GTAW qualification to 6-G per ASME IX, and GMAW experience in multiple positions. High school diploma required; overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work history in welding required.
• Experience in GTAW and qualification to 6-G position per ASME IX.
• Experience with GMAW in various positions per AWS D1.1.
• Ability to decipher welding symbols, read drawings and PI&Ds.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipe welding with fitting experience and codes/specifications.
• Read and interpret work packages, scopes and drawings.
• Weld, test, and assemble piping spools to be compliant before QA.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure it’s in good working order.
• Work overtime and irregular shifts as needed.
