Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking skilled welders to plan, lay out, weld and install specialty pipe, structural steel, and alloy components on industrial construction projects. The role requires passing welding tests and strict adherence to codes and safety protocols.

Candidates should have 4+ years of pipe/structural welding experience, NCCER certifications preferred, and OCI project welding certification. You will mentor helpers and coordinate with other crafts on site.

Qualifications

• At least four years of pipe/structural welding experience or equivalent in industrial construction.
• Must pass project welding tests for applicable procedures, codes and specialty alloys.
• Understand welding codes and specifications; follow directions; own required tools.
• Must be at least 18 years old and hold an OCI project welding certificate; journeyman experience preferred.
• NCCER certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, lay out, weld, install, and repair specialty pipe, structural steel, and components made from specialty alloys, following project plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards. Operate welding and cutting equipment, ensure work passes quality audits, follow site safety procedures, coordinate with other crafts, and mentor helpers and laborers.

Requirements: Requires at least four years of pipe and structural welding experience, or equivalent education and experience in industrial construction, plus successful completion of project welding tests for applicable procedures, codes, and specialty alloys. Candidates must understand welding codes and specifications, follow directions, have the required tools, be at least 18, and hold an OCI project welding certificate; multiple years of journeyman experience and listed NCCER certifications are preferred.
