D.C. GOODMAN & SONS
Since 1914, D.C. Goodman & Sons has been a trusted mechanical contractor serving Central Pennsylvania. What began as a single plumbing shop has grown into a full-service contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection. Headquartered in Huntingdon, the company employs over 40 skilled trades personnel and technicians, serving commercial, healthcare, educational, and industrial clients.
Our work spans shop fabrication, structural steel, commercial piping, and fire protection installs. Our welders build and install steel and piping at hospitals, colleges, and industrial facilities, and they back up every trade we run.
D.C. Goodman & Sons is part of a larger, fast-growing family of companies, which has brought new resources and opportunities without changing what makes this team good at its job. Employees are treated like the skilled professionals they are, with room to grow a career alongside a crew that takes pride in doing the job right.
We’re looking for amazing people to join our team (more specifically, a WELDER). The role is based in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
You are a craftsman at heart and ready to lead. You take pride in a clean, sound weld and a tight fit-up, and you’re just as comfortable running a bead as showing an apprentice how to read a drawing. You can move between the shop and the field, and you set the standard for the people around you.
You’ll work as part of a team in the shop and field, helping less experienced welders and apprentices with technique, safety, and drawing interpretation. We value people who lead by example, hold a high bar on quality, and treat safety as non-negotiable.
Think tradesmen first, more than a hundred years running. We built our name one job at a time, and we invest in people who want a long career here and give them real responsibility as they grow.
The Welder delivers quality structural and pipe welding in the shop and field while helping develop the welding crew, making sure every weld meets code, spec, and schedule.
