Job summary

Taco, Inc. in Fall River, MA is seeking a Welder Fitter A for the 2nd shift. This onsite, full-time role focuses on welding heavy-duty tanks and heat exchangers using FCAW/GMAW and SAW, with complex fit-up and rigging under supervision as needed.

The candidate should have 7+ years of welding experience, ASME Section IX qualification, and the ability to read drawings and follow WPS. Safety and teamwork are essential in this production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass ASME Section IX welding tests with specified variables.
• Skilled in FCAW/GMAW and SAW welding processes.
• Experience with welding positions including overhead and small pipe welding.
• Ability to read and follow welding procedures from drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Works independently using drawings, specs, WPS, and instructions.
• Reads and interprets WPS; performs complex welds on tanks and heat exchangers.
• Directs teammates on fit-up and welding tasks for vessels.
• Completes repairs and final welds on complex weldments as needed.
• Performs confined space welding when required.
• Maintains safety, quality, and ERP records; reports issues.
