Job summary

Taco, Inc. is seeking a Senior Welder B for its on-site, 2nd shift production environment. The role involves welding nozzles and fittings to tanks and heat exchanger shells using GMAW and FCAW, reading drawings, and fitting components with fixtures. Requires ASME IX test and 2+ years of welding experience.

Demonstrated ability to work from drawings and follow WPS parameters is essential, along with safe, efficient production in a busy shop setting. Competitive compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass ASME Section IX welding test with FCAW/GMAW and SAW processes, steel and stainless, flat and horizontal positions, with or without backing.
• 2+ years welding experience using drawings, specs, charts and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret basic drawings and perform simple layouts.
• Weld nozzle/fittings to tanks and heat exchanger shells using FCAW/GMAW.
• Perform final welding operations using fixtures and jigs on flat and horizontal positions.
