Job summary

PRECISION LIQUID CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Tank Welder to join our site crew. The role involves welding field-erected carbon steel tanks using flux-core, sub-arc and stick methods per layouts, diagrams or work orders.

Candidates will work with the Tank Superintendent to select weld methods and ensure quality and safety on site. Responsibilities include multi-pass welds, reading blueprints, setting machine parameters, and inspecting welds to meet stringent standards.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and isometric drawings.
• Maintains safety-first mindset and follows OSHA requirements.
• Able to read tape measures and perform basic calculations for welds.

Responsibilities

• Weld A-36 carbon steel 3/16 to 1/2 in thickness per diagram or work order.
• Set welding machine parameters for different material thicknesses.
• Produce multiple-pass welds capable of passing X-ray examination.
• Inspect welds for bead size, continuity and quality; grind as needed.
