Job summary

MONROE TRUCK EQUIPMENT, part of the Aebi Schmidt Group, seeks a Lead to drive daily operational excellence on the shop floor. You will translate strategy into clear direction, build team capability and uphold accountability, quality and safety standards.

You will oversee assignment of duties, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen operational alignment and on-time delivery. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role in Monroe, WI.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing operating systems and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methods.
• Strong leadership, emotional intelligence and ability to influence others.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs. and varied physical positions.
• Proficiency with hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties and inspect work for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and schedule.
• Troubleshoot shop floor issues and coordinate with supervisors to keep projects moving.
• Move unfinished and finished products to correct locations using forklift when trained.
• Ensure equipment is set up and used safely with safety devices in use.
• Perform inspections per company and customer standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, HR and other departments to improve operations.

Position

The Lead serves as the frontline leader responsible for driving daily operational excellence within the department. This role translates organizational strategy into clear direction and execution on the shop floor. The Lead builds team capability, ensures safe and efficient operations, proactively resolves challenges, and fosters a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies, procedures, and to the manufacturing schedule.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise on the shop floor and confer with supervisors and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving for the best outcome.
• Responsible for identifying and moving all unfinished and finished products to the proper location within the shop operating a forklift, if trained.
• Ensures all equipment is properly set up and used safely and that all safety devices are in use.
• Perform inspections as required by company and customer standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, HR, and other departments to strengthen operational alignment and communication.
