Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment in Monroe, WI, is seeking a Lead for the 2nd shift in the warehouse to drive daily operational excellence on the shop floor. The role translates strategy into direction, builds team capability, and ensures safe, efficient processes with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include assigning duties, troubleshooting shop-floor issues, and coordinating with multiple departments to keep projects moving and products ready for shipment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing operating systems.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Self-awareness and emotional intelligence to effectively lead and influence others.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operating systems and workflow optimization.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions.
  • Ability to work with arms above head.
  • Ability to work from crawling or lying positions.
  • Ability to safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools, and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies, procedures, and to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and confer with supervisors and production personnel to resolve problems, keeping projects moving.
  • Identify and move unfinished and finished products to proper locations within the shop using a forklift if trained.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up and used safely and that safety devices are in use.
  • Perform inspections as required by company and customer standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, HR, and other departments to strengthen operational alignment and communication.
