Leigh & Co. Events, a fast-growing wedding planning company, is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator in Arkansas.

This contract role offers flexible scheduling and onsite coordination for weddings, with training provided. You will lead planning on the day, coordinate ceremonies and receptions, and serve as the main onsite contact for clients and vendors, ensuring a calm, problem-solving presence and flawless execution.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work weekends is essential.
• Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
• Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.

Responsibilities

• Attend final details call with clients about 6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations.
• Lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring timing and cues are clear.
• Serve as the primary onsite advocate for the couple, maintaining a calm, solutions-focused presence.
• Oversee ceremony and reception setup aligned with the design and plan.
• Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
• Greet and direct vendors; be main point of contact.
• Coordinate setup instructions to vendors to align with the plan.
• Assist with placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor.
• Support wedding party with guidance and timing cues.
• Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
• Proactively resolve issues to maintain guest experience.
