Leigh & Co. Events is seeking a Lead Wedding Coordinator for Vermont to join our growing team for the 2026 season and beyond.

This onsite contract role offers the chance to manage wedding execution from start to finish, collaborating with client experience managers and on-site coordinators. Training is provided and you can set your own schedule Responsibilities include leading rehearsals and vendor coordination, ensuring flawless logistics, and delivering a calm, solutions-focused presence

Qualifications

Must have 2 years experience as a wedding planner or event planner.
Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

Lead and serve as the lead planner for each wedding, onsite.
Attend a final details call ~6 weeks before wedding to confirm logistics and timeline.
Lead the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding and coordinate cues.
Oversee ceremony and reception setup in line with design and playbook.
Manage full wedding day execution from vendor arrival to breakdown.
Greet, direct, and be the main contact for all vendors and couples.
Coordinate placement of escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, and decor.
Support wedding party and family with timing cues and day-of needs.
Ensure end-of-event items are packed and accounted for.
Proactively resolve last-minute changes to maintain a smooth guest experience.
