Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer (Water/Wastewater construction) for the Mid-Atlantic region, open to candidates in DC, MD, and VA.

This onsite role leads engineering activities on critical water and wastewater projects. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with bridge experience a plus; PE registration is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction effort including planning, design interpretation, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, etc.).
• Represent company and project in meetings with A/E, client, and management.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction services, design build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
