Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer (Water/Wastewater construction) to plan, coordinate, and manage onsite engineering activities in the Mid-Atlantic. Open to candidates in DC, Maryland, Virginia markets.

Requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background and 5+ years of construction engineering experience; Bridge experience is a plus. PE registration is preferred but not required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Water/Wastewater projects.
• Direct project engineering personnel, assignments, and performance, ensuring schedule alignment.
• Support design/constructability reviews and resolve design conflicts during construction.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures (submittals, RFIs, expediting deliveries, subcontractor payments).
• Represent company in meetings with clients, PMs, and A/E partners.
• Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure project quality and schedule.
